There has to be some standard of a curriculum. Wesch concedes that.

how about a process of learning to learn - preparing kids for uncertainty.. do they know what to do when they don't know what to do?
how about modeling for them - using their heads, talking to themselves..

most of all - giving them back time in their day. 
people crave hard work. they just want it to be work that matters to them..

standardized tests?.. they haven't helped - there's more evidence they are making us mindless.. good test takers, but not good thinkers.

how about instead - self - assessment.. ?
