save the learner

why do we stand for this?
esp in ed - when the product is our most valuable resource... learners...(kids, adults, all of us)

the ads read:
you're not successful without papers/grades/degrees as proof that you've been exposed to the things other people have determined you need to be exposed to in order to be successful.
no?

vulnerable place for students - admission to uni
vulnerable place for admin - funding
opportunity - authentic learning  in these spaces via more choices

we need to quit looking at and talking about and becoming what all the ads have to say. 

what if we ousted the ads... the hype .. and we did psa's on ..
save the learner...  (like we do with other aspects of our world/environment we feel like we're losing)
giving choice back to the learner and their community   - on what success is- and facilitating their self-construction around that.
