oh my dear Ed...
if we really believe math is so important (I believe mathematical thinking is..but I believe it is because it shows up naturally, when we free minds to be curious.. with nothing to prove)
as we model on the tests, ESP Pisa .. can't we be smart enough to realize the numbers game we are playing with school..?

or perhaps .. is that our best evidence that school math, compulsion, et al, is not boding us well..
