grant wiggins

but are these the right questions. aren't we skewing answers...skewing our time, by not getting outside of ourselves to ask perhaps more pertinent.. more useful questions.. like how do you learn/live... imagine if you would... how you would live your days.. what would you do...?

i learned from grant... and now i feel... i don't know.
ok.. looking back over these... that was his focus then...

The more students receive challenging, interesting work demands, the better they do on simple measures.The aim of teaching is not to master state tests, but to meet worthy intellectual standards. We must recapture the primary aim of assessment: to help students better learn and teachers to better instruct.


so - he wasn't questioning the core curriculum per se... he jump started us and we've gone off from there. ok.
