trust
we don't have to socialize in order to learn - but it seems to help
not the content that makes it valuable - but the long history - the connections

if i don't trust - hard to employ a gift economy


on facebook
who is facebooks customer - i'm not and you're not
it's not the people in facebook they are serving but the ones that are buying their info
privacy online is a transactional entity
exchanging privacy and data to use space - same with google

we don't know what's valuable in terms of privacy

do you have a digital homebase
email, the landing, twitter

the web blurs our identities into one
like- esp in facebook
one of unique elements of tech
reduces our abilities to be different people in different spaces
what does a blurring of identities doing for us
