These skills and mindsets — collectively known as Deeper Learning — can only be built through long-term practice in classrooms where students work together on significant projects.perhaps if we move past the concept of classrooms... who's together in a space - per choice. most of our problem - i'm thinking - we're waiting till we get to choose - the gatherings - to do the deep learning..

The Most Efficient Die Early -blogs.hbr.org/cs/2012/12/the…
Eliminating all errors makes it hard to compete in the trial-and-error process that's required for a company to adjust, because there are no trials without errors. Clayton Christensen has nicely described how the very things that made a company successful, including its efficiency, can also cause it to become obsolete when it's unable to adapt to disruptive change.

is this sarcasm?
how is this peer instruction..?
this is more (in my perception right now) like what denise pope reports on - that 95% of students admit to cheating (up from 75%) - but they aren't calling it cheating - they're calling it survival.
the question is crazy to begin with - mathematically speaking, the fact that now 90% are now getting a multiple choice question right - means very little - on the surface.
i hope it's sarcasm.

Day 2: Teachers meet for approximately 45 minutes during planning time. They are introduced to a new concept, given a tool which models that concept, and are expected to apply that tool at least once before the next session and to bring evidence of its effectiveness. In Day 2 of the next block, teachers present their experiment and its results.
