Seit ich die LernZeitRäume betreten habe, schwelt in mir die Skepsis am System. Seit ich die LernZeitRäume kenne, wird mir immer klarer, was Otto Herz meinte, als er davon sprach, dass „Unterricht“ ein Konzept aus Preußen sei, und dass man nicht mehr von „Unterricht“ sprechen sollte. Seit ich die LernZeitRäume kenne, habe ich Lust bekommen, Schule ganz anders zu sehen und sämtliche gedankliche Mauern einzureißen, die man im Laufe seiner eigenen, langen Schulerfahrung aufgebaut hat.

LernZeitRäume ist eine freie Grund-und Realschule in Dossenheim in der Nähe von Heidelberg. Es gibt hier keine Klassen, sondern Lerngruppen – altersgemischt: die Wildkatzen (entspricht den Schuljahren 1-3), die Dingos und Robben (Schuljahre 4-6) und die Geckos und Tiger (Schuljahre 7-9). Die Schüler lernen in diesen Gruppen zum einen gemeinsam, zum anderen stark individualisiert. In einer Mathe-Gruppe, die ich besucht habe, lernen die Kinder individuell mit Selbstlernmaterialen. Während die einen sich mit Bruchrechnung beschäftigen, lösen die anderen Aufgaben zu „Rechnen mit Geld“. Wer Material braucht, holt es sich aus dem Schrank. Schüler helfen sich gegenseitig, wenn jemand mal nicht weiter kommt. Die Lehrerin kennt von jedem Schüler und jeder Schülerin den aktuellen Stand und kann individuell die nächsten Schritte und Aufgaben nennen. Wer mit Aufgaben nicht fertig wird, befasst sich damit weiter in der „Studierzeit“. Schüler beschäftigen sich darüber hinaus mit selbstgewählten Projekten. Ein Schüler sei einmal gekommen und habe damit überrascht, dass er sich mit platonischen Körpern befassen wolle – die habe er im Internet gefunden, und die haben „was mit Mathe“ zu tun. Wer einmal ein paar Stunden in den LernZeitRäumen verbringt, der spürt förmlich, dass hier gelernt wird, und man bekommt dabei auch noch das Gefühl, dass die Schüler das… wollen? Dabei auch noch Spaß haben? Gibt es sowas?
Learning periods is a free primary and secondary school in Dossenheim nearHeidelberg. There are no classes here, but learning groups - mixed ages: the wildcats (equivalent to school years 1-3), the seals and dingoes (school years 4-6) and the geckos and Tiger (school years 7-9). The students learn together in these groups on the one hand, the other heavily customized. In a math group that I have visited, the children learn individually with self-learning materials. Whiledealing with a break statement that solve other tasks to "Calculating with money."Who needs stuff, it gets out of the closet. Students help each other, even ifsomeone gets no further. The teacher knows every student and every student ofthe current status and can individually call the next steps and tasks. Those whocan not deal with tasks, is dedicated to continue in the "study time". Students alsoare concerned with self-selected projects. A student once came and I was sosurprised that he wanted to deal with Platonic solids - which he had found on the Internet, and have the "what with math" to do. Anyone who has a couple of hoursspent in the learning time grant, which can almost feel that is learned here, and you get it even feel that the students want the ...? It also still have fun? Is there such a thing?
Natürlich handelt es sich dabei nicht um ein Paradies – es gibt jede Menge Probleme und Schwierigkeiten, denn die gibt es immer, wenn man mit Gruppen und ganz unterschiedlichen Menschen zu tun hat. Aber trotzdem: Die Grundatmosphäre ist eine ganz andere als an „Regelschulen“. Sie ist: Familiärer. Freundlicher. Lernförderlicher. Menschlicher. Ja genau: Sie ist menschlicher. In den Gruppenräumen gibt es Gruppentische, Sitznischen, Wohlfühlecken. Keine kasernenartigen Reihen von Tischen mit Blick nach vorne, wo man schön die Klappe halten und „dem Unterricht folgen“ muss. Die Lehrer…. pardon… die Gruppenleiter werden übrigens geduzt. Das Team ist genau so bunt wie die Schulphilosophie: Lehrer(innen), Erziehungswissenschaftler(innen), Psychologen, Wald-, Erlebnis- und Theaterpädagogen, Diplom-Sportlehrer und Honorarpädagogen.
Of course, this is not a paradise - there are lots of problems and difficulties, because there always is when you're dealing with very different people andgroups. But anyway: The basic atmosphere is quite different than "regular schools". It is: A family. Friendlier. Conducive to learning. More human. That's right: you are human. In the classrooms, there are group tables, booths,comfortable corners. No barracks-like rows of desks facing the front, where youhold the door nice and "follow the instruction" must. The teachers .... sorry ... by the way the group leaders are familiarly. The team is just as colorful as the schoolphilosophy teacher (inside), educationist (inner), psychologists, forest, adventureand drama teachers, qualified sports teachers and educators fee.
Und besonders sympathisch finde ich an dieser Schule: Sie ist modern. Mancher reformpädagogischer Schule sagt man ja nach, dass sie auf Ideen der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts beruht und auch dementsprechend in dieser Zeit verhaftet ist. Nicht so die LernZeitRäume: Hier wird versucht, all das miteinander zu verbinden, was für die Schüler für gut gehalten wird: Elemente der Jenaplan- und Freinetpädagogik werden mit neuen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen kombiniert. Aus genau diesem Grund ist die Schulleiterin Signe Brunner-Orawsky auf mich vor einiger Zeit zugekommen und hat mich gefragt, ob ich nicht mit Studierenden Projekte an der Schule zum Thema Computer und Internet machen möchte. Nach einem kurzen Besuch, der mich voll überzeugt hat, hatte ich gleich eine andere, darüber hinausgehende Idee: Weil ich mich ohnehin entschieden habe (ganz nach dem Vorbild von Jean-Pol Martin), regelmäßig in einer Schule tätig zu sein, um den Praxisbezug zu behalten und ein Feld für didaktische Experimente zu haben, werde ich in Zukunft in der Schule mit Computer- und Internetprojekten mitwirken. Ich finde es großartig, dass ich das darf (danke an Signe und das ganze Schulteam!), und ich freue mich ausgesprochen darauf, ein kleiner Teil dieser Schulgemeinschaft sein zu dürfen. Ich fühle mich wohl in den LernZeitRäumen.

Wie laufen Pausen in einer „Regelschule“ ab? Hektisch, oder? Haben die Lehrer wirklich „Pause“? Ich meine, können sie in der Pause richtig entspannen? Ich habe die Erfahrung gemacht: Nein, können sie nicht. In den Lernzeiträumen kommt das Team in der Pause zusammen und…  isst gemeinsam. Man setzt sich an einen Tisch, es gibt Brot, Wurst und Käse, und man plaudert in einer angenehmen, ruhigen Atmosphäre. Lisa Rosa meinte auf dem EduCamp dazu: „Es ist klar: Wenn es den Lehrern gut geht, dann geht es auch den Schülern gut.“ Dem ist nichts hinzuzufügen.
As breaks go in a "normal school" from? Hectic, right? Did the teacher really"break"? I mean, can you really relax during the break? I've learned: No, they can not. In the study periods, the team comes together during the break ... and eat together. You sit down at a table, there is bread, sausage and cheese, and we converse in a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. Lisa Rosa commented on theEduCamp: "It is clear. If the teachers are doing well, then it's also good students"have nothing to add


FrauFridur @dunkelmunkel Gäbe es mehr solcher Schulen, hätte ich vllt doch noch Lust, Lehrer zu werden. Da das System aber is wie es is? Nee, lass mal.
